About 2:45 a.m., Sunday, June 24, 2007, a nineteen-year-old man was riding his motorcycle southeast on Bellmore Avenue. In North Bellmore, Broad Street forks off to the right (south). The motorcyclist hit a building at 1512 Bellmore Avenue, in the center of the fork. Because of the position of many memorials, it seems he directly hit a wall of the building and was killed. The facade shows cracks, perhaps from the impact of the crash. Bellmore Avenue passes to the left of the building, Broad Street to the right. The newsday.com article is here.

Long Beach Rd, 6.9.2007
June 11, 2007A passenger in the rear seat was killed when a car, northbound on Long Beach Road (or Blvd) flipped over a divider near Austin Blvd. The Newsday article here is a bit confusing about location because it gives the location as Long Beach. However, the intersection of Austin Blvd and Long Beach Road (or Blvd) is just north of the bridge over Reynolds Channel, and it is in Island Park rather than Long Beach. The photo seems to show the divider on the bridge, and other comments seem to indicate that the car had just crested the rise of the bridge. Still, the young person from Rockville Centre is dead.
