Sad to report, another motorcyclist died. This driver was traveling east on Oak Street, which zig-zags right, then left at Newbridge Road. Newsday reports that he crashed into a car parked on Newbridge Road (perhaps directly ahead?). The cyclist’s rider survived, he didn’t. September 12, 2007Sad to relate, there has been another fatal collision between a left-turning vehicle and a motorcycle going straight. Shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2007, Mark Davidman was on his motorcycle southbound on Peninsula Blvd, Woodmere, when an automobile turning left into Saddle Ridge Road collided with him. Of the six motorcycle deaths in Nassau County since February, this is the fourth involving a left-turning car.

September 9, 2007A Seaford resident, Robert Grogan, lost his life as he walked across Sunrise Highway at Washington Avenue, Seaford, about 8:45 p.m., Friday night, September 7, 2007. Newsday.com does not indicate his direction nor that of the vehicle. September 1, 2007About 11 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a left-turning automobile at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Roslyn Road in the Village of Mineola. The article does not tell which direction either the motorcyclist or the driver of the sedan was going. Little more can be gleaned from the 150 comments added to the on-line article.
