February 16, 2009Sad to relate, about 9 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2009, a man driving southbound on Robbins Lane entered the LIRR grade crossing right in front of an eastbound train. He was killed. The newsday articles have quite a discussion about whether the gate facing him was working properly.
