Unfortunately, a man on a motorcycle lost his life as a result of a crash before noon on Saturday, November 28 (date in LI Press), or Sunday, November 29, 2009, (date given by Newsday and Radio 1010 WINS). News reports indicate that the crash occurred at the intersection of east-west Naple Avenue and north-south Commonwealth Street in Franklin Square. The reports do not indicate which direction he was traveling, nor whether either vehicle was turning. Google Streets shows two stop signs at the intersection, governing traffic on Commonwealth St. An article at the Long Island Press.com is linked here. It seems this was a hit-and-run.
