October 22, 2007At this time of year, sun glare is a major problem for almost an hour before sundown. Because Long Island has few hills, westbound driving can be difficult. On Sunday, October 21, 2007, a sixty-five-year-old man riding a motorcycle in the center lane of the westbound Long Island Expressway near Exit 41, Jericho, fell off his bike into the traffic of the right lane. Sad to relate, he lost his life. The newsday.com story is here. He was the eighth motorcyclist killed in Nassau County this year.
