July 6, 2008Sad to relate, a husband and wife lost their lives when their Camry was broadsided by a Kia in Oceanside on Saturday afternoon, July 5, 2008. April 11, 2008Sad double death as a result of a high-speed accident on Nassau Blvd, West Hempstead, a block north of West Hempstead High School. Three 17-year-old students headed out of school for lunch, it seems, late in the morning of Thursday, April 10, 2008. They turned north on Nassau Blvd. Reports say the driver speeded up (in a 20 m.p.h. school zone), tried to pass a car, lost control and crashed into a wooden utility pole and dumpster on the other side of the street. The driver is alive the next day. His passengers are dead.

February 10, 2007Three men were killed about 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning, February 3, 2007, eastbound on the Southern State Parkway, at exit 20, Grand Avenue. Their car hit the median, somehow went airborne, and crashed against the bridge. All three passengers were killed. See newsday.com
